Why are the applications opening so late?
Since our event is publicly funded, we must adhere to certain guidelines regarding the announcement of the final event date. This is why we were only able to open applications now. We are, however, working on a better and, importantly, earlier solution for next year.
When will the Indie Game Fest take place?
The Indie Game Fest will take place on May 8th and 9th 2026, at the Wasserturm Hotel Cologne.

Tables
We offer two table variants to choose from:
160cm x 40cm
160cm x 80cm
Each artist can receive up to two tables, and you can indicate your preferred table size during the application process.
NSFW Content
Because this is a family-friendly event, we cannot allow any NSFW or 18+ material to be displayed or sold.
Any violation of this rule will result in immediate removal from the event.
AI-Art
The Indie Hub does not support or allow any AI-generated “art”.

Food & Drinks
The Indie Game Fest offers exhibitors access to a Business Area, where food, drinks, and snacks will be available throughout the entire event in the form of a buffet. This area is exclusively for exhibitors and can be added for an additional fee of 57,00€ per day per person. For our Indie exhibitors, this is already included in the exhibitor fee. Since we want artists to be able to decide for themselves whether they would like to use this offer, it is listed as an optional selection in the application.
Please note that catering will not be limited to this area. During the event, additional food options will also be available in the hotel garden for all visitors and exhibitors. These will also be provided by the Wasserturm Hotel Cologne and will be priced individually on site.
As the catering for the event is provided by the Wasserturm Hotel Cologne, the pricing follows their catering rates, and we are unfortunately unable to offer discounts.
Indie Game Fest Discord
If your application is accepted, you will receive an invitation and a special artist role on our Indie Game Fest Discord server. This server is where all event-wide communication happens, and you can contact us anytime with questions or concerns.
