Welcome to IndieHub, and thank you for finding your way to our new website. The website may be new – our mission is not.

IndieHub is a community dedicated to supporting the world of gaming. We stand at the forefront for voices that might otherwise go unheard. Especially at a time when many large companies in the industry are primarily focused on cutting costs, we want to create space for indie developers, creative minds, and bold projects driven by passion and curiosity.

But our perspective goes beyond individual games. Through our events and discussions, we also address the broader challenges facing the industry:How can inclusivity in the games industry be improved? Where are the current gaps? How can young artists and developers take their first steps in game development while AI is rapidly gaining influence? And how can young talent be meaningfully connected with companies and decision-makers?

Our overarching mission is to connect the gaming world and create opportunities. To achieve this, IndieHub brings together a wide range of formats and initiatives.

It all started with a local meetup in Cologne: the Indie Developer Stammtisch. What began with a small group of people has grown into a community of over 1,700 members, connected both online and in person.

With the Indie Game Fest, we give indie developers the chance to showcase their projects. It’s a full-scale event dedicated entirely to our love for indie games. Together with industry professionals, streamers, developers, and gamers, we create an inspiring weekend focused on visibility, exchange, and collaboration.

To foster knowledge-sharing and networking, we launched the Indie Campus. Available online and on-site, it offers high-quality education at accessible prices. Industry veterans share their experience with developers and students alike. Indie Campus is about community, learning, and discovering new perspectives.

And there’s much more:The Indie House helps developers find affordable and comfortable accommodation during gamescom.Through Indie Streams, we stay in direct conversation with our community. In Ask Our Experts, professionals take on the community’s toughest questions – from taxes and publishing to game design.

Take a look around our new website and discover what IndieHub is all about – whether for the first time or all over again. Here on the blog and on Discord, we’ll be sharing news about upcoming events and initiatives very soon.
